In the beginning, there stood Eru, the One, or known as Iluvatar in Arda.
Eru, set forth the Ainur unto the Earth. They are the Holy Ones, the
offspring of his thought. The Ainur sang themes before Eru, and he was
happy. At first they sang to his own, or very few in unison, while the
rest
harkened; for each of these beings only comprehended the part of
Iluvatars'
mind from which he came. Yet ever as they listened they grew into deeper
and
more great understanding, and increased in unison and harmony.
And so it was that Iluvatar gathered the Ainur and declared unto them
a
mighty theme. Iluvatar spoke to the Ainur: 'Of the theme I have declared
to
you, I will now that you make in harmony together a Great Music. And
since i
have kindled you with the Flame Imparishable, ye shall show forth your
powers in adorning this theme. Each with his own thoughts and devices, if
he
will.'
The voices of the Ainur rang out through the chamber, and began to
fashion
unto Iluvatar a great music. In this music there were no flaws, so
Iluvatar
sat harkened and for a great while the music seemed good to him. But as
the
theme progressed, it came into the heart of Melkor to interweave matters
of
his own imagining that were not in acord with the theme of Iluvatar; for
he
sought therein to increase the power and glory of the part assigned to
himself.
Iluvatar allowed the Ainur to dwell upon the grounds that came from the
void that was filled as they sang the Great Music. Many of them stood on
the
grounds, yet some still stayed with Iluvatar. Everything could be seen in
colour and shape, and the Ainur could take a physical form, either of
male,
or female. Very few ever took on a physical form such as man or elf, such
as
Ulmo, the Ainur who watched over the seas and all waters. There were
fourteen Ainur then. seven of men, and seven of woman. Of these, Melkor
was
not included. He was more powerful than any other one Ainur. He was
blessed
with a little bit of all of the Ainurs gifts and thoughts.
Then there was Orome. If he is less strong than Tulkas, he is more
dreadful
in anger. He is fearless, only laughing in the faces of enemies, as he
had
laughed in the face of Melkor in battles before the elves were born.
Orome
was the last to come to Valinor, not wanting to leave the lands of
Middle-Earth.He is the great hunter of monsters and fell beasts, and his
delights are with horses and in hounds; and all trees he loves. The
valaroma
is the name of his great horn. All above the horns of his host it was
heard
in the woods that Yavanna brought forth to Valinor; for there, Orome
would
train his folk and his beasts for the pursuit of the evil creatures of
Melkor.
And so, it is now a new age, yet Melkor doesn't rest. Yet, nor do
the
Aunir, and the struggle continues throughout the Earth. The mighty lord
Orome leads his folk through the world purifying it piece by piece,
defending Eastern Adra as much as he possibly can. We are the folk of
Orome.
Dispatched by Orome to keep order and bring safety and honor to our peers
and unto all of the free world not under the rule of Melkor and the rest
of
his evil forces such as Sauron, and the corrupted Saruman. Melkors'
hatred
now grows by the second, and for him to induce his wrath upon an
unprotected
Middle-Earth, the Elves, Men, Hobbits, and Dwarves would surely be put to
slavery or slaughtered, and the void of darkness which once was would
fall
back into its place. It is our job to keep that from happening.
*************************************************************************
- Incase you didnt quite get that, we are to protect all of Middle-Earth
from being overcome by the evil forces. We will fight with honor beside
friends, and beside great allies to conquer what is rightfully ours.
